San Miguel Sponsor’s Annual FilAmFest
Irvine, CA – September 10, 2014 – Celebrating the Filipino community couldn’t be more fitting as October is Filipino American history month. San Miguel stated “We are proud to participate and sponsor San Diego’s annual FilAmFest.” The Filipino American Arts and Culture Festival, popularly referred to as FilAmFest, is a destination street festival held on the first Saturday of October from 11:00AM to 6:00PM located in the Southeast San Diego community of Paradise Hills on Paradise Valley Road, between Woodman Street and Gilmartin Avenue, next to Paradise Hill’s Park. Over 15,000 community members and visitors are expected to attend this 10th annual intergenerational gathering on October 4, 2014. FilAmFest is considered the largest Filipino festival of its kind in San Diego County, if not in the State of California attracting over 200 performers, artists, educators, business professionals, nonprofit organizations, and health service providers celebrating the traditional customs and contemporary influences of Filipino Americans. It is a family-friendly community-oriented arts and cultural festival.
